Stud Service

• All bitches must be OFA Hip Certified (Elbows/Patella are recommended), and eye screened by a board certified ophthalmologist for eye conditions known to be hereditary in nature.  We need to see photo copies of the results.  Hip radiographs should be done well in advance of a heat cycle as estrogen has been shown to create a false laxity of the hip joint.

• Bitches must also be Brucellosis negative within 3 weeks of scheduled breeding.        Natural breeding or Artificial insemination at our discretion.

• We reserve the right to evaluate pedigree of the bitch to be bred, and make a cursory evaluation as to whether we would allow such a breeding to take place based on working manner, temperament, and conformation.

• "French Brittanys"  must have a predominant  pedigree of French lines and be of "French" breed type.  A suitable copy of a 3 generation Foreign or AKC pedigree showing registration numbers is required.  A UKC pedigree without traceable AKC or Foreign registration numbers is not acceptable, as it is impossible to verify.  As there are many "American" dogs with black genes these days, the only way to verify is by pedigree.

• Stud fees include 2 services, and 5-7 days of bitch care. Fees are payable in full at time of service.  In case of failure a repeat service is granted on the next immediate heat cycle of bitch so long as the stud is viable and available.  Our studs are routinely screened and only offered if viable.  Reservations/plans should be made well in advance, we will not breed on a "phone call" when the bitch is "in season now".   Many of our males are in competition and are often on the road traveling, we will try to accommodate with advanced planning.
